Just wanted to give a little shout out for independent book sellers. I have just purchased Coffin Road by Peter May and decided that I wasn’t going to buy it from Amazon but from a local bookshop. On this occasion it was Griffin Books in Penarth, Vale Of Glamorgan.
I ordered the book and it arrived the very next day (as fast as Amazon!), and I got a lovely smile from the seller when I picked it up.
I get real satisfaction from supporting local, independent businesses. I know that the money I am spending is staying in the community to be spent in other local shops which enhances and sustains my local community.
If you can, shop local – make the effort. It’s worth it.
