One of my favourite boutiques in The Vale of Glamorgan is Jade in Barry. Jade is owned by the lovely Jane and sits on Barry’s beautiful High Street.

Jane has a great eye and always has lovely pieces that I’m drawn to. I particularly loved this boucle jacket and the stylish gold, fringe bag. Perfect colours for autumn.
However, the thing I love most about Jane is she’s down to earth and always has a smile for customers. Some boutiques can be, you know, a little up themselves. Not so here – a lovely smile and a cheeky giggle. Just what you need on a grey, old, Brexit-filled day.
You don’t need many reasons to visit High Street, Barry. But it helps to know it has several good boutiques plus some excellent gift shops and good cafes. Plus, a great deli and an excellent range of independent shops (butcher, fruit and veg etc.). It still has that old school charm which has sadly been lost from much of Holton Road. You’ll also find several good local estate agents packed with local knowledge (can we leave the online ones alone please).
