Premier Store: Rhoose Mini Mart

This certainly doesn’t apply to Rooban, owner of this particular establishment. Rooban is a breath of fresh air – he is always jolly and, quite honestly, brightens my day when I see him.

This family-owned shop is essentially a mini supermarket with just about everything you need. If you live in walking distance, it’s perfect – and if you need to drive, there’s usually a parking space outside.

Premier has all the staples in the chiller: milk, eggs, bacon, cheese, butter, cold meats etc. And the rest of the shop is equally well stocked with tinned foods, cereals, snacks and drinks.

It’s also an off-licence and carries a good selection of wines (red, white and rosé), plus beers, lagers and spirits.

There’s a great selection of confectionery too. Most of the well-known brands are on display plus bagged sweets and the freezer holds a good range of chilled lollies and ices, perfect for cooling down on a hot summer’s day.

Cash, as well as card, is accepted here. Thankfully. It’s always worth popping in as they frequently have some excellent special offers. So, if you’re looking for a bargain, Rooban and his excellent team will certainly look after you, and always with a big smile.
