The clocks are about to go back, which means only one thing for anyone organising the office party: it’s time to get the date in the diary. Vale Resort and Hensol Castle, two of South Wales’ favourite places to celebrate, have launched their 2026 festive programme, and enquiries are already coming in.
Both venues sit around 20 minutes from Cardiff, so they’re an easy option for teams, groups of friends and families coming from across the Vale and the city.
Christmas party nights at Vale Resort
The classic Festive Christmas Party Nights start from £50 per person. That includes a Christmas cocktail on arrival, a three-course choice menu and a disco with the resort’s resident DJ. The nights run throughout December, and you can add an overnight stay from £149 per room, bed and breakfast.
Live music and themed nights
If you’d rather dance to a band than a playlist, there’s plenty on.
Through the Decades (£55 per person) brings back The Long Weekend, playing festive hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Nights (£65 per person) return with live big band tunes that tend to keep the dancefloor full all night.
Mamma Mia! Night (£60 per person) is the resort’s ABBA-inspired evening, and it’s back by popular demand.
West End Party Night (£89 per person) is new for 2026, with award-winning performers direct from London’s West End. As with the other themed nights, the ticket includes a themed cocktail on arrival and a festive three-course meal.
The Gin’gle Bell Christmas Ball at Hensol Castle
Over at Grade I-listed Hensol Castle, the Gin’gle Bell Christmas Ball is the more elegant choice. From £75 per person, guests are welcomed with a gin cocktail made at the castle’s own distillery, followed by canapés, a four-course gin-inspired menu and a DJ until late.
The ball takes place on 28 November and on 12 and 19 December. Overnight stays at the castle start from £169 per room, bed and breakfast.
Private and corporate parties
Both venues also host bespoke parties for groups of 80 to 300, with exclusive use of a private room, a tailored menu, festive drinks packages and full entertainment.
Stephanie Metson, Marketing Manager at Vale Resort, said: “We are thrilled to launch our 2026 Christmas programme, which is set to be one of our most exciting and diverse yet. Each year we see guests return for our exceptional food, service and festive atmosphere, and with early interest already building, we expect another busy season ahead. We look forward to welcoming everyone for a memorable celebration.”
