Canyoning, climbing, abseiling, clay pigeon shooting and falconry are now all on the menu for corporate delegates at the Vale Resort in Hensol, south Wales thanks to two new team building partnerships.
The four-star resort, near Cardiff, has teamed up with Wales-based Call of the Wild and Wings of Wales to offer even more options for businesses who want to incentivise or reward their staff or develop skills such as communication, problem solving, team building or leadership.
The new activities are in addition to the existing ones that the Vale Resort runs for businesses including indoor surfing and paddle boarding at Cardiff International White Water (CIWW) and tree-top adventures in association with Go-Ape. Golf and spa days are delivered on-site by the resort.

Call of the Wild was established in 1998 by two school friends and is focused on providing hands-on team building experiences to help people to fulfil their potential. In 2017, it won Conference and Incentive Travel’s Best Team Building Experience and counts John Lewis, Vodafone, the BBC, Credit Suisse, Cable and Wireless and Panasonic as its clients.
As an approved Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) centre, Call of the Wild is able to issue ILM certificates for its courses, helping delegates to progress their programme of continual professional development (CPD).
Wings of Wales was established in 2015 by conservation photographer and bird of prey handler, Lewis Phillips. With a philosophy that is firmly centred on education, Wings of Wales will teach delegates about conservation as they get the chance to fly eagles, hawks, vultures, owls and peregrine falcons.
