The three partners who own Loulou, Jayne James, her sister Debra Davies and long-time friend Caroline Hole opened their gorgeous boutique just inside the main entrance of Pyle Garden Village in 2012. The Village has a lovely coffee shop and serves excellent coffee and food – perfect for a catch-up once you’ve shopped til you drop.
Loulou stock a varied collection of carefully considered brands from around the world. Well-known labels such as Joseph Ribkoff sit alongside Naya, Masai, Deck, Suzy D, InWear, Amazing Woman, Blank London, Brodie Cashmere, Jayley, and the latest name to add to the eclectic mix of dressy-to-casual styles, is a Greek company called Access. I’m particularly loving their spring/summer additions of Maria Bellentani and Primrose Park. Perfect for those holidays that we will be enjoying as and when we are allowed!
They’ve got stunning bags by Alex Max, a stunning Italian brand, which are made of the finest leather and in great colours too! You can even bag yourself a hand-painted Panama hat, again from Italy – they’re truly one of a kind. To finish the whole outfit, there are gorgeous colourful necklaces from Pranella UK.
What I love about Loulou is that the girls have built a relationship with their customers. They give honest opinions and offer direction if a customer is at a loss as to how they should dress or what might suit them.
There’s always a warm welcome and never a hard sell. If you buy something, great – if not, that’s no big deal. With so many stunning items, it would be difficult not to leave with a bag full of lovely things and a huge smile though!
