Cardiff Airport takes off with biggest summer schedule yet. Summer 2025 is set to be one of the busiest on record for Cardiff Airport, with travellers from Wales enjoying a wider choice of destinations and improved connections across the globe.

With expanded services from TUI, Ryanair, and Vueling, the National Airport of Wales now offers direct flights to nearly 30 destinations. Passengers can also connect seamlessly via Amsterdam to more than 150 long-haul favourites, including Dubai, New York, Toronto, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

More flights, more flexibility
Ryanair has launched its largest ever summer programme from Wales, with flights to Alicante, Dublin, Faro, Malaga, and Tenerife.

TUI is serving 22 destinations with 45 weekly departures, giving holidaymakers plenty of choice.

Vueling is operating up to five weekly flights to Malaga and three weekly to Alicante.

Sun, city breaks, and culture
From Cardiff, it’s easier than ever to jet off to the beaches of Cyprus, Greece, and Bulgaria, explore Croatia’s stunning coastlines, soak up Irish charm, or enjoy the vibrant culture of the Netherlands.

Passenger experience upgraded
The airport has also invested in passenger comfort. A new Next Generation Security Checkpoint is speeding up screening with state-of-the-art technology, earning excellent feedback from travellers.

Passenger numbers reflect the demand, with traffic up 15% by the end of May compared to the same period last year.

Lee Smith, Head of Business Development at Cardiff Airport, said: “It’s great to see the terminal so busy with passengers enjoying our upgraded facilities. We’re consistently hearing how easy and welcoming the Cardiff Airport experience is, which is something we’re extremely proud of. Our strong focus on customer service is well received by passengers, and it’s encouraging to see airline partners responding to the growing demand.”
