There’s nothing better than a home-cooked, tasty meal at Hilary & Iain’s overlooking the beautiful bay at Ogmore-by-Sea, whether it’s for lunch or dinner. Or just a coffee and a piece of cake – it’s bliss. The food is always excellent and, on a sunny day or evening, the views can be breathtaking and Ogmore-by-Sea is extremely popular with photographers looking to capture the perfect sunset.
We can’t get there at the moment due to lockdown but no need to panic, their culinary delights can still be enjoyed, even if it’s via a takeaway.
You can choose from freshly battered cod fillet with lemon wedge and gourmet chunky chips; pan-seared large seabass fillet served with a king prawn and caper butter salsa served with fresh vegetables and chunky gourmet chips or, a homemade 8oz “Mega Burger” topped with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese melt, mushrooms and gourmet chunky chips (currently, and unsurprisingly, the most popular order!).
They can cater for children and have options for those with allergies (these need to be mentioned when ordering).
If you fancy a dessert, please ask what’s available when phoning as these change by the day. We do know that Hilary recently made a batch of Rocky Road which, as soon as the news leaked, they sold out in no time. Lesson learned here we think!
Orders can be made over the telephone or through the restaurant’s FB page.
Until we can enjoy the offering inside as before, a takeaway option isn’t too shabby when it’s one from Hilary and Iain by the Sea!
